"An award winning, University of Cambridge (UK) CELTA qualified English teacher, with fifteen years experience of teaching English in Brazil."
In class I use the Communicative Approach (The communicative approach is based on the idea that learning language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. When learners are involved in real communication, their natural strategies for language acquisition will be used, and this will allow them to learn to use the language.) This means you will learn and practice English in a very real situation.
Classes are usually one hour each and I use conversation as a vehicle to identify opportunities to improve vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. I speak "Received Pronunciation" (the standard form of British English pronunciation) and I focus on teaching a more 'classic' form of English giving my students a richer and more sophisticated vocabulary.
I am a CELTA (Grade B) qualified English teacher (University of Cambridge) with fifteen years experience in English Language Teaching in Brazil, and until June 2017 tutoring in Switzerland and teaching English at Inlingua Corsi di Lingue, Lugano, Switzerland. Native English speaker with consistent ‘Above Standard’ evaluations in Communicative Language Teaching in Quality Assurance Observation Reports. Awarded ‘Teacher of the Year’ 2012 by Britannia English School in Brazil.
